What Operating Systems do Network Elements support?
Network Elements support all Microsoft based Operating systems - On the server side we can support Windows NT / 2000 and 2003 Server. For workstations, Win98 through to Windows XP Pro are all supported.
We can also support the many Unix and Linux flavours out there at the moment on both the workstation and server side. These systems give you all the benefits of the Microsoft family of products but at a significant lower cost for software and licensing.

Do you support applications?
Due to the many applications that exist we obviously cannot say we blanket support all applications. We do however support the most common applications that are currently in use by small companies ranging from financial packages, office suites, CRM’s, databases through to Exchange, Small Business Server and ISA Server and may be also be able to support your bespoke packages.

What infrastructure do you support?
Network Elements can support all your infrastructure needs. Our engineers have worked in blue chip companies designing and building a wide range of infrastructure over several years for various projects. We can supply and support everything from hubs, switches and routers through to firewalls, network appliances and web proxies. We also undertake full end to end infrastructure support – be that wired or wireless.

Do you support hardware?
Of course! As part of our service we can either provide a break/fix service for your hardware where we will attend your site and provide support to either bring your systems back online or provide replacements to achieve this. Following that many customers take support contracts on their infrastructure. This provides potentially costly hardware failure to be fixed free of charge and ensures peace of mind that there would no great surprises to your budget.

What are your standard support hours?
Our standard working support hours run from Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. We firmly believe though that flexibility is key when it comes to support and can be available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for any out of hours work.

Why would I need a support contract?
Many clients feel that for peace of mind a support contract covers their IT requirements by providing an immediate point of contact for IT failures and also provides a channel through to engineers who can assist with the day to day IT requirements for their business. Normally we provide support in several ways – telephone support, remote access to the supported systems, online IRC to the engineers and of course attendance onsite. A support contract provides some peace of mind with hardware covered for failures and the knowledge that you can get on to do what you do best whilst leaving your IT systems to support and help you
